automatic bluetooth turn on
 

When bluetooth is on, it eats a lot of battery power.

I wonder if there is a program or hack or whatever that could somehow detect that my bluetooth hands free car device is operating and turn on the bluetooth on my phone. Then, of course, automatically turn the phone's BT off when I leave the car?

Wouldn't that be handy?

there are a lot of things about bluetooth that would be handy, too bad apple invented it.

I use this with HTC home:

you can either map it to a soft key, or any other key for that matter, or have it on your today screen.

it will save you one whole second from going through the Comm Manager.

The only other suggestion would be to leave your BT on all the time. and carry your charger.

Or get AddinTimer 3 and set shedules to turn it ON/OFF

I really like htc bluetooth quicklink. probably the same result as some of the other posts, but hey, here's my 2 cents

I am running cicleBT - a nice little program which I map to a hard button. But I was hoping for something more automatic.

I believe PointUI home has an option to turn on Bluetooth when a phone call is rcvd and then turns it back off after the call is completed.

I looked at their website and did not find any reference to that feature. Do you have more information?

I think that I remember this feature as well on pointui but never tried it out.

I just installed pointui and it DOES have that feature - no I'm going to experiment with my car phone BT device.
