wireless troubleshoot
 

where can i find a troubleshooting guide for connecting to wifi with my mogul?
i used kitchen to upgrade to wm6.1 and i was able to connect to wifi at work and home, but i forgot to include a few items (GPS) so i reflashed again and now i cant connect to any wireless connections. it says connecting then it just goes to unavailable. some times it sees the networks and asks me to connect but again it just says connecting then says unavailable. i searched but didnt really find a guide on trouble shooting...

i have flashed with 3 different roms (vetvito 6.1, cooked 5054, and 5060) and i also have gone back to the stock rom but it still does the same thing. the first time i turn on the wireless it sees the network then i connect and it just right to unavailable, or if there are multiple networks available the one i first try disappears from the list after trying to connect so i tr the next one and it says unavailable then it wont detect any networks after that.

i have been able to connect to this network with cooked 5060 rom and the stock rom unilt about 3 or 4 days ago. and its not just my home wireless, i have tried at work and other friends houses and it does the same thing

whats going on?

well if the issue is present on stock rom also, I would think about taking the phone back due to hardware issue maybe?

why did it work 4 days ago. the only change i made since it stopped working was i cooked a new rom to include the .net stuff because some how it didn't get in the first time.

if i repeatedly reflash is that bad for it? and why wold that affect the wireless?

no flashing it shouldn't affect it at all. I'm thinking it just plain ol' broke 3 or 4 days ago since it seems to have the same issue no matter what the rom on the device.

i get an error with device.exe when i try to connect to a network before it says unavailable, then whichever network i tried to connect to is no longer detected and it tries to connect to the next and same thing....

hardware or software?

yes, rom flashes that include radio, effect radio.. ie, official rom, so reflashing to offical could fix if it's a rom/radio issue.
it kinda sounds like your wifi's fried, think that's why thier rare on phones.

ok now i don't know what to think. i tried my wifi this morning just for poops and grins and what do you know, it works!
