Hey do they offer shirt insurance? I have a Tee that is getting some holes and I really like it. I would insure that sucker in a heartbeat.

really though... a cell phone is kind of a unique situation simply because its my connection to the world. If my phone falls and breaks I dont want to have to wait days to do an ebay or go though the hassle of a craiglist transaction i just want to call or go to sprint and have a new one the next morning no questions asked.
nover had any white spots.. maybe its an issue with the sec ond batch, mines from the first batch before the revision. wont get white spots either. who touches the screen too hard? because stabbing at the screen with your sylus is a good release for the frusteration brought about when trying to load larger websites, good luck with that. being careful not to drop your phone is like being careful not to cut your hand off while julianing that onion.. sure, if its a possibility, but unless youve got problems or are going out of your way too try and do it its not going to happen, it is not difficult to not drop a phone. i dropped my vx6000 5 years ago when i was immature and clumsy. who knocks bottles of water over on their phone? my phone is sitting right next to my bottle of water, both of my phones are actually, and yet, i dont feel threatened in the least, seeing as im not retarded.

they probably do, people seem to feel the need to insure phones so id imagine shirt insurance is available. ive got a few shirts that are 1/4 or so of the moguls retail, what if i, you know, accidentally cut one of the cuffs off or accidentally glue it together instead of using the buttons like the designer intended.

i was under the impression everyone has a backup phone? if they dont they should.

Re: Why do I pay sprint for insurance?!?

Question about sprint insurance. I pay the $7 per month.
I have a question is there a certain limit of claims you can make per year?
I bought my Mogul back in July and i am getting a replacement soon(May).
How many more claims can i make. I know by next year spring i will need a new Mogul.

Re: Why do I pay sprint for insurance?!?

Considering how many people go through numerous, expensive phones without any insurance, I really don't think it can be qualified as necessary for everyone.

Absolute worst case scenario is your phone self implodes (so you can't resell at all). A top end, new phone on ebay will cost you about $280. I have enough month-to-month costs from other things, I don't plan on adding phone insurance on top of that. If you are highly accident prone or just like the ease/peace of mind, sure I can see it.

Total loss claims is 2 as someone else stated but that is going through asurion which charges the deductible. If you have phone that has anything wrong with it other than water damage or theft or loss you can make as many claims as you want. I am on my 5th mogul for white spots on the screen. The just send me out a new one when i call and I send them back the defective one.

Re: Why do I pay sprint for insurance?!?

I work in the cellphone buisness for a company which offers various companies such as Sprint, Verizon, AT&T etc and I must say Sprint has the best insurance hands down. Im enjoying my new 6800 free of charge when I had a broken 6700 this past week, no deductible. Now thats service I must say, as long as it is hardware faliure you pay nothing getting it replaced or upgraded

I didn't realize there was a $50 deductable ... does this always apply?

a) the d-pad stops working because I use it a bunch ... do I pay $50 for a deductable ?
b) I walk into a retail store and have lost my phone ... do I pay a $50 deductable
c) I'm using it and a bus drives by and covers me and my phone in water from the street ... do I pay a $50 deductable

Re: Why do I pay sprint for insurance?!?

White spots--like, bright spots on the screen? I didn't realize that was a common issue. I have a big bright spot in the lower right corner of my mogul's display--can I get the phone replaced w/ my insurance plan? 'cause I would.. do I have to pay the deductible?

I'd still consider it. That blemish is driving me crazy.

No- They will swap it for free. If they try to send you to Asurion get mad and talk to a supervisor. I am on my 5th mogul for this.

It comes down to loss and water damage = $50 to replace your phone
if not you turn in your phone for referb and get a different one at no additional cost.
