How to reduce screen lag without custom ROM?
 

Anybody know how to reduce screen lag when typing or switching from portrait to landscape without using a custom ROM? I heard that the Kitchen increases the performance of the phone. I started playing with it, but when it got time for me to cook my own ROM, I decided that the kitchen isn't for me. The stock Sprint ROM with my ad on programs works just fine for me.

i beleive you can increase the cach size in the registry. don't remember what the key is at the moment though

There no way to do it without doing registry tweeks? There's now program that can help accomplish this? So the Kitchen is built with some kind of tweek to increase screen response?

cody made a cab file with glyphe cache and other performance tweaks built in. it edits the registry for you.
i'm shoe shopping with the gf. i can't search easily through the mogul or i'd post a link. search for cody performance cab. something should come up.

I haven't noticed much of a difference with the regedits. I have WAD and WBA2 running in the background so thats probably why. Its annoying to use the keyboard.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE.

Change the value of "limit" from 8192 (default) to 16384 or even 32768. You'll want to play with this a bit depending on how much free memory you have. The more glyphs you store in cache, the more memory you'll use. You'll need a registry editor. I recommend PHM Registry Editor here: http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

I dont think that performance hack does anything in regards to screen lag.

doesn't htc have a performance tweek that increases the speed of the cpu? search for that
