Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

How do you use sprint mobile email to access more then 1 e-mail account??? I have this application installed on my touch and mogul and I'am only able to use it for one account. I thought the app was able to access 3 e-mail account. Any help would be gladly appreciated TIA!!!.

I'am not talking about the windows mobile e-mail account settings. I'am talkin about sprint mobile email applications which enables push email. I'am able to chose from a number of email account but not more than 1 of them. And the app is suppose to allwow you to access up 3 accounts.

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

It's weird because it offers you about 5 preset account and the option to useas been pop3/imap account but once you register one of them there is no option to add another account and it's supose to allow up to 3 account. I mean this app has been around since '06 and works fine on regular hand like the razor with 3 account but not on a windows mobile device which one would use alot more to access e-mail account. I Mean sprint always does something dumb like this, like not allows PDA phones to use MMS.

Out of curiosity, where did you find this application? I thought this was not offered for the Mogul?

I download the .cab file to the storage card via my touch. Then simply installed it on the mogul from the storgage card. And before you say it was'nt intended for the mogul the app works the exact way on the touch. One e-mail account instead of 3.

Should work Just fine on a mogul. I have it installed on mines and have never had any problems with it. Just cannot get it to register more than 1 e-mail account.

What's the advantage of this program over the regular email program on windows mobile?

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

This looks like the client for Business Connect from Seven. There's currently a beta for Seven which incorporates OWA features, not sure if that'll make it into the Sprint version.

It enables push e-mail, So your messages come to your phone seconds after they arrive on your mail server. Your mail account aren't polled every 15minutes to every 2 hours like the regular email program on windows mobile. If your a mobile professional this is a very important feature to you if you get alot of e-mails while on the go.

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

Gmail can be configured for IMAP, which is push, and set up in pocket outlook, so you wouldn't have to use a second program to use it.

Also, what kind of email address does a "mobile professional" have that's not exchange or IMAP?

Try Seven Beta, they created Sprint Email but this version blows it out of the water. The best IMHO.

Push Email, Multiple accounts, HTML, UN-contact search, integration without using Active Sync.

IMAP is not really push email

It's close enough.

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

the beta seven client is a bit of a resource hog and it considerably slows down opening up poutlook. it's great for synching with owa and other email but the footprint was too much for my mogul.

also, the sprint email stopped working after i initially added my gmail as a test. i would get an error which i couldn't move past when re-adding or adding email accounts.

?

It uses 0 cpu unless its doing an initial startup and when email comes in. As far as Ram goes it takes up to 950kb.

All according to MemMaid.

Unless you were using and old build, thats no lnger the case.

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

has anyone had problems with this since this morning - I downloaded and installed on my Mogul running DCD kitchen and everything worked fine until about 8:00 AM this morning - when I started not receiving any emails - when I press send receive basically I get a message that says - Error S7109: The network connection timed out. Please wait for a few minutes and try again -

I can go on the internet and I reset my email accout through regular windows mail and I receive emails fine on that account

Thanks for any help

Yeah this work Just how I wanted the sprint mobile e-mail to work. It's Acually an update for sprint mobile e-mail, and over installs it. I can't seem to get it to work with my ISP pop3 e-mail but I have my g-mail and yahoo mail working just fine.

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

Memory wise Seven beta can grow quite large. If you are using it for 1 email then it's manageable but when you throw in more then 3 the memory usage starts grows. I had it configured for OWA/Gmail/IMAP and the time to open an email was considerably longer when Seven was installed rather then the standard scheduled send/receive.

I was using the latest release.

Re: Sprint Mobile E-mail Client

Im on 2 accounts myself. So 3 demands more I take it? I get great results using yahoo & gmail.

Since 7 is still in Beta, dont be scared to point out issues to them. They dont take long to get addressedor acknowledged.
