I was charging my phone, and the left LED light just turned half blue, half white, while flashing to yellow. I removed the cord, and put it back then the yellow charging LED started flashing. Any ideas why? It seems to be fine now..

@krnfrk, I think this is due to overheating. The only time that the LED's have been reported to blink in abnormal colors or patterns are when the phone is considerably warmer than normal.

My fault on the the spelling. :P Anyways, I was thinking it might be overheating, because it was rather warm to the touch at the charger end. Is it a fault of the Mogul, or it is just leaving it on for a long period of time?

I think it is a combination of both, because my phone overheats randomly with no use. I'm sure many have had similar issues.

What precautions should I take to prevent it from getting damaged if it does overheat? Also, this is dragging the topic off a bit, but I have this program called jizy HTC Action Screen, doesn't seem to have any use.. Anyone know anything about it?

well i used to have the same problem with my phone overheating while it is charging i have come to relize that if i use it while it is charging it will begin to get warmer nd warmer until the lights start blinking and its hot or when i have it in the pouch nd i am in a warm room but to prevent this i take my phone and put it on top of a glass table i have and charge it there because since the glass is fairly colder then room tempature any heat that the phone might start to give off will be sort of absorbed by the glass hope this helps

I only have the problem when I'm charging while the radios are in a 100% duty cycle. say, wifi or phone in use, or Navizon running. I usually only charge while in the work van, so I stick it up next to the A/C vent to cool it down (that A/C gets really cold)...when it cools below whatever point, the flashing amber light blinks red one time and then it goes solid amber and charges normally...problem solved.

My Mogul has never, gotten warm & I have many o' functions updating & polling data (24/7).
Though Admittedly I don't use it when its plugged in but still, its on and updating things like RSS, Weather, Backups, Dashwire etc. etc.

I'd let a Sprint repair tech look at it. Last thing you want is the phone to turn into a Lithium battery bomb LOL. :p

I might mention something about it, but I was looking in another thread, about the light spot on the bottom left of the screen. Well, mine has that too, I was wondering if there is a slight connection between the two.

I wonder the same thing. The phone does heat up a lot when doing any type of heavy usage or while charging.. i know when i used WMWIFIROUTER and had my girlfriend and her brother both connected to the phone it got real friggin hot, and it wasn't until a week or 2 after that that the white spots showed up.. interesting theory!

i got a white spot too!! left bottom corner. also i think i got a dead pixel but is only seen in one color full screen.
i have the same problem with the heating thing, i was thinking the same thing. build something that kepted a little less warm.
