What audio adapter works with the new ROM?
 

OK, the latest ROM broke many, but apparently not all, of the OEM audio adapters that were on the market. At this point, some work, but many (most?) do not.

So can we get a list going of those that DO work? Specifically, I'm talking about an adapter that converts from the Titan's mini-USB socket to a 3.5" stereo audio socket.

If your 3.5mm adapter works - without having to do surgery on pin 1, without having to plug anything in "half way", without having to do any weird sequence of clicks, without having to string several adapters together - if it just works every time you plug it in....

Then please post a reply here with the brand, price, and where you bought it.

The audio on my Seidio devices works just fine. I have the desktop and car mount docks. I also have the 3.5 end with a mic and answer button on it. They all sound fine.

I am referring to the official Rev.A Sprint rom. I think it is 3.35.

The only new problem I seem to be having is that bluetooth will no longer allow me to use a headset when one of these devices is attached.

Thanks. At least one other person (in another thread, some weeks back) has mentioned a Seidio adapter as working successfully with the new ROM. I guess I can shop for one from that brand. I hope other "success stories" will come along as well, though.

I have just received a sku # 901 from buygpsnowdotcom it is a charge and audio port and finally I have stereo!

Yikes, that unit looks physically identical (absolutely, completely identical) to the one that I have here that definitely DOESN'T work. I don't doubt that it works, but it sure makes it hard to know how to separate the good ones from the bad ones.

Is there any company logo or marking on it? Mine has only the branching arrow logo molded into the back.

I wonder if they just quickly revamped the product so that it works correctly. How recently did you buy it? At just $5, I guess I can just go ahead and try it.

And of course there are no marking names etc on it. I bought one earlier that was just the usb to 3.5 that works but provides no charging capability.

I just bought a couple of 3.5 adapters for my Mogul from eBay. I hope they work!

I don't understand how a ROM update could break the audio port, I thought it was hard-wired?

My "el-cheapo" audio adapter from ebay works like a charm.

It is hardwired HTC puts in a extra pin that others don't use.
