is it possible? i dont get service in the building i usually am, but wifi is free...

Texting I am not sure about but you could use Skype or another VOIP app to make and receive calls....

Nothing can be done to push texts thru WiFi?

nope, cause it MUST go through Sprint's data network and servers. You could use pop email accounts thru wifi though it that helps.

For some reason I can't edit my post above but I read a little more about it and Im not sure if its an app that'll work on a phone or if its just for a PC to send texts to a phone.

This is apparently not in distribution yet, but when it is available it looks like it will create a cell phone access point on a network.

Another option that will work now is to email your message to the recipient's phone number at the recipient's carrier's SMS gateway. For example, to send a text message to Sprint phone number 1234567890, an email to 1234567890@messaging.sprintpcs.com will be received as an SMS message.

just use wi-fi and navigate to one of dozens of websites that have a txt msg app built in.

you put ur number, recipient's number, and the message. and it sends via internet.

i know sprint.com and sprintusers.com both have one
