I want a new USB/Charging Cable for my Mogul
 

I have searched on Ebay, but all of the ones they have listed as "HTC Mogul" compatible are just the "mini-USB" types. I don't want to have to plug into that big, clunky converter and then into my Mogul.

Can I get a USB wire that just connects directly between my computer and my Mogul? Without plugging into anything else in between?

I just want a small, thin cable for charging and syncing. I easily found one for my old Treos on Ebay, but don't seem to have luck with my Mogul. Am I using the wrong the search words or something? Can they not make one for the "proprietary" plug in port of the Mogul?

Mini-USB will plug directly into the Mogul. I've never used any of those adapters ever.

Uhm what? It's just a mini-usb cable. The "proprietary" portion of it is for audio.

your confused.. one end of the cable is 'mini-usb'..this is the end that goes INTO your mogul. the other is regular old USB, which goes directly into your comp. no adapter needed.

LOL the plug looks different on the mogul.

I thought the very same thing when i first got mine, and I was using those retarded adapters to charge the phone, but no, you don't have to.

The usb plug works just fine without any adapters.

I actually went to Radio Shack to get an iGo adapter and it was just a regular mini-usb one but I was insisting to the rep that it wouldn't fit because of the shape of the Mogul's socket....yeah I felt like a moron when he opened it and plugged it right into my Mogul...:headbang:

Well Holy Moley! Color me silly! I had no idea such a thing could happen. Is this explained somewhere? I had absolutely no idea it could do that.

Learned something new. I wondered why all the "Mogul" cords had that same mini-USB thing going on.

So, why'd they bother with making the shape all funky if it didn't need to be?

Like baffles said, for their audio output. I have like 10 of these cables lying around. MP3 player, old razr's, garmin/magellan gps, they are all the 4 pin mini usb cable.
