Re: Contacts not working
You may check the settings @
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACS\1 and make sure that they don't point to finger friendly contacs |

Guess I should have realized that maybe I am not the only one brainfarting and been more descriptive in my original post :) |
Re: Contacts not working
yup! I also stand corrected. them little settings i keep forgetting is there in Advanced config.
the full default contact setting is: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS 1= MSPOUTLOOK contacts |
Re: Contacts not working
could it be as simple as an exe file still in the startup folder?
|
Re: Contacts not working
Ok Sorry to sound dumb but I am confused..... What do I need to do in order to get the original contact manager back?????
|
Re: Contacts not working
just change this reg entry to read as follows:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS 1= MSPOUTLOOK contacts instead of the Finger Friendly its pointing to now. just edit the 1 entry under that reg path. then soft reset after of course to make it stick. |
Re: Contacts not working
Still getting the error message, though now it says "the file mspoulook cannot be opened"
|
Re: Contacts not working
is it spelled JUST like that? its MSPOUTLOOK. maybe you missed the letter T there?
