Mogul Locks up
 

Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any issues with the mogul not waking up after sleep mode with the new rom 3.35. I started to notice this happening after I flashed it.
For example, If I were to let my mogul go into sleep mode mode after a few hours I would try to turn my mogul on and the phone would be locked up, I would then have to do a soft reset to make it come back up.

At first I thought it was maybe an app that I had installed that would have been causing the lockups...so I decide to just recently reflash my mogul. Since then I have not installed anything other than opera mini 4 and the esmertec jbed app. Yesterday I left my mogul on before going to be sleep. My mogul went into sleep mode and when I woke up to check my time on my phone it was locked up. I had no apps running to take up any memory except for active sync and I normally keep the bluetooth option enabled under the comm manager....I wonder if this may be the problem.....Has anyone experienced any similar issues?

I have not had that problem, I have a ton of apps running.

I've been having that happen occasionally with 3.35. What I do to to get out of it is press and hold the power button til it beeps (like you're going to power down) and press the power button a few times til the screen comes back on. LOL It's kinda janky how you have to do these ghetto work-arounds for it to come back up.

Not happening here have 9-10 apps with BT and MSVC running.

do any of you power off your moguls at night or do just let it slip into sleep mode. Today was the first time it locked since i have re-flashed it, since we now have a built in task manager should any apps be exclusive to memory?

yep I have to hit the power button like above to wake it up. sometimes it is a soft reboot.

Hello new user here.. I'm experiencing the same problem with a brand new phone (updated ROM was already installed when it arrived). The only thing I've installed on it is Google Maps, other then that I haven't touched a thing (I'm clueless with this stuff currently). I've had the phone for about a week and a half now, it's locked up every morning, device.exe crashes about 30 times a day (randomly, not even touching the phone it will crash) and occasionally the phone will start lagging and buttons become unresponsive, have to hit them about 10 times, it's odd.

Yea i have the same problem, ill jus hit the power button after sliding out the keyboard and vice versa till it comes up its been getting worse and now it happens almost everytime it goes into stand-by the only reason i havent even thought about reflashing the original stock rom and wasnt even sure if it was because of the new rom is because im supposed to be getting another mogul due to a defective screen on this one which has been that way since i got it...but i guess after reading the thread mayb i wont upgrade the rom next time around?

We have two Moguls in our office - One that came with 2.17 flashed up to 3.35 and mine which came with 3.35 out of the box. Both lock up every day and require battery pulls (I did mine about an hour ago) to get them working again - they don't come out of sleep mode very well and mine sometimes will answer the phone but it won't "connect" to the call - it'll say connected but you can't hear them, and they can't hear you.

Granted, we have the Good Technology e-mail overlay software installed but we never had this many problems with our Moto Q's....

Hopefully HTC will fix this.

mine freezes alot to since the 3.35..... plus glitches when I try and type text messages....

i got my new mogul today! finally! already loaded with 3.35 and so far no problems but im nervous about flashing and adding other apps due to what i had to deal with with my last mogul even though it wasnt from ne of that just a defect in the screen...im jus hoping i dont have ne more lock ups i dont think i can deal with that again! but then again theres always a soft reset:evil4:

I'm not really certain if mine is the same as yours. I flashed my Mogul MANY MANY MANYYY Months ago. And just in the past couple of weeks it has seriously been lagging, and locking up for absolutely no reason it seems. No running apps or anything. I sometimes can't even answer calls, it won't click the answer button. Not a good thing especially if I were in any emergency situation. I do have version 3.35.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

It seems to wakeup from "sleep mode" just fine, but sometimes the buttons become unresponsive.

And even stranger it has been recently randomly connecting and sending data over and over. It will say connecting(making the sounds and everything) then the sending message icon will show, and disappear)

And I'm afraid of re-flashing it because I had someone walk me through it last time and I don't want to do anything wrong.

Being a Windows OS, it's gonna do that. Sorry you'll have to reflash. I'd start with PIMBackup at dotfred.net and use that to back up stuff. Also you should go through ##778# and back up settings there.
