I have put every prl, that alltel has released on this phone....

and my phone takes the otap from alltel with success for both updating prl and pst...

Does altell use an eri (extended roaming indicator) I had this problem switching a qwest 6700 to vzw and the correct vzw eri plus prl fixed this issue.

You know,, im not sure... im still beating the heck out of this issue,, so I do believe that the eri/prl would fix the problem... but without explicit access to the file system,, we cant really do anything about it,,, at least for the 6800...

Try ##prl (talk)and ##eri (talk) and load off a sd card. You should be able to get the eri off another altell phone using bitpim.

Yeah,, ##eri doesnt function on this phone... oh well ill keep chugging.....
