International SMS

Hey felow ppcgeeks members, here is a question for you all. I currently am seeing random charges on 2 of my last 5 bills saying that I have used International SMS, but I know I don't text overseas, I don't even know anyone overseas. Both times reported it to Sprint and they credited me back, but now I see some more of those texts on my current usage on Sprint.com and I won't be able to do anything about them or check them out until the billing period has ended. First time this happened I think Sprint said that these texts were sent or received from like korea. I was like WTF, this don't make any sense! The first time it was like 25 messages, the second was like 4, and now I see a current usage of 6. I have tried to google this and search through many forums to see if anyone is having the same issue but no luck. This is my first thread on this matter and I hope someone has an answer or maybe some information on this matter.

This was happening to me but it was due to some text subscription i had (horoscope, weather, news, stocks, etc) which were coming in from international sources. I was charged also for texting to fandango for movie times as their number is located on some island off the atlantic ocean. I cancelled all subscriptions and changed my number. never happened again.

In that case then I would find out from sprint in great detail as to why you are being charged for international sms.

I get them too, every 3 months or so. CS credited them without fuss, and supposedly they are now blocked... time will tell..

Make sure your friends are not using any computer services like joopz or any other ones to send you text messages. I think you might able to notice that coz if these services are used it comes from weird numbers such as 63726 or smthn like that.
