With version 0.91 I had no problems with security. I set up the ad-hoc network with wep/wpa in the wireless settings, then set up wmwifirouter. Once that was done, security worked flawlessly.

That is why I will either continue using v.91 or find a warez version of the new one on the best IRC channel in existence for PPC warez.

It's not a hard app to crack you know, it's written in Free Pascal. If you want to run warez, learn to patch it yourself or pay the author. you never know what other peoples cracks/patches might have embedded in them. And what conglomeration of developers wrote this? I talk to chainfire often and he wrote this singlehandedly I'm pretty sure.

He borrowed from a vast amount of previous developments in the creation of the software, He wrote the program himself, but borrowed HEAVILY from others, esp on XDA.

Umm, he might have used posted information, we all do... There is no programmer out there that knows it all without reading what someone else did at some point.

He wrote this in a completely rare language, trust me, he didn't get help that mattered in anyway other than how a few things might work on the system. And that's commonly shared info.

Also he's helping out those that helped him with this so get off his back if you hate him or the product then go away and just ignore this

Paying for it is one thing but asking everybody to remove links to the free, older version kind of irks me. I hope he makes a lot of money on this product.

There's a free product that still being developed that has all of the features of WMWifiRouter and then some such as sharing over bluetooth, etc. Looks to be very promising.

I like the WMWifiRouter app - but it's not worth more than $10 to me. Especially when there is a free alternative and cracked copies of PDAnet on most torrent sites. From looking at the free app over on XDA - it's a much more capable app, and I suppose there should be no surprise there(nod to XDA), but when WMWifiRouter is charging for a less enabled app - it's not likely many people are going to bother paying. While some people might actually need to provide access to multiple machines, I think most of us are just interested in using our phones as an internet connection when nothing else is available. To that end, I think using pdanet via bluetooth is an acceptable solution.
