There's a great freeware called "Battery Status" and you can configure it to show you the power drain (mA/mW)

It's great because you can see how much the GPS, or WiFi, or BT, are using to consume your battery.

On idle, my devices uses less than 100mA. But if I open a map program and have intensive data transfer, then it goes up to almost 400 mA.
