Gmail problems after new ROM install

I did the search, found nothing like this. I keep getting an error message while trying to send outgoing email messages in gmail.

this is the exact error:

"the message(s) could not be sent. check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. then try sending again".

i get incoming email fine. and i do have network connectivity.
Prior to the ROM upgrade, it worked well. I experimented with the check boxes, still no luck I followed the steps on the Gmail web site, I think I got them right. Any suggestions other than a hard rebooot?

Verified that the mail setting are correct, problem persists. Configured email from my ISP, getting the same issue. Anyone else getting this, any fixes?

i have the same exact problem, i just ran into it as i was reading the forums. Same exact error message, on gmail. No clue how to fix this. Anyone got any ideas?

Sorry, I do not use my Mogul to check my GMail. But I use it to sync to my Exchange server at work and also my own private mail server and have no issues with either. I am running latest HTC release...
