How hard would this be to build into a ROM, with complete config so it would survive a hard reset of the phone?

The average thief probably wouldn't know how to reset the phone, but if he did, one could still track the stolen phone after a hard reset.

Anyone having issues viewing the map from there 6800. I get the SMS with the link, I click the link, the page loads but is is blank!

AFAIK Its supposed to be viewed from the desktop.

Hi PPC6700freak,

Unfortunately Microsoft's Mobile Internet Explorer doesn't support Javascript. So it can't show web pages with Google Earth or even Virtual Earth.

The solution is to install Opera's browser on your phone, or any other browser that supports Javascript.

That is what I am currently forced to do. It is a pain in the ***! You have to copy the coordinates form the SMS. Lunch Google Maps. Choose search. Paste the coordinates into the search box. Then edit the string to remove Lat: and Long:.

here is a sample: Lat: xx.285102, Long: -xx.482867

Google maps does not like the this, it wants xx.285102 -xx.482867 only.

I have requested that the coordinates be printed in this format.

I am HOPING they "Sprite Software" adds hooks to launch Google Maps when the SMS response if received.

do i need to DL 2 times with 2 seperate activation codes for my two moguls? Me want on my phone for security and on my wife's phone for, well, my security.

id imagine that would be a great conversation.. walking up to some kid who has your phone, just having found it or bought it from someone else..
