New Rom + Fun Contacts = No GPS?
 

I've been running the new ROM for the past week and everything has been working fine. I've tried several GPS map programs and they all worked great.

Today I tried to use the mapping programs and I could not get a GPS signal with any of them? I tried a soft reset, checked my settings again, and nothing?

I had loaded a few programs last night so I thought I would reverse what I did one step at a time and see if that helped. Well, as soon as I removed Fun Contacts I was able to get a GPS signal again?

Has anyone else seen this? Is anyone running Fun Contacts and GPS with success?

I have the new ROM and Fun Contacts and my GPS works fine with Google Maps and GPSTest...never had any issues with it

Hum, maybe it isn't fun contacts then?

Wierd though because GPS worked fine before the install (FC) then stopped working. Once I removed it everything was working again so I assumed that Fun contacts was the hang up?

I'll try and re-load it tonight and see what happens.

what program are you using for GPS..... try GPSTest with Fun Contacts installed and see what happens

I'll give that program a try also, thanks.

I had been using Google maps, Tom Tom, and GPS speed sentry. All worked before Fun contacts and none would acquire a signal after I installed it.

I also installed Fun Contacts yesterday and my GPS stopped working in GMaps, where before I always saw 8-10 satellites. However I also installed a WM torrent client and as soon as I noticed that my GPS was no longer working, I uninstalled both of them. Therefore I cannot be certain which application caused the issue. I plan on installing the WM torrent again later today, so I will post here if GPS is failing again.

If not, it was definitely Fun Contacts....

ive been having problems to but i d/l live search and bam it works perfect and know my telenav works perfect unno if they had a tower down near my area but i know goolge maps wont let me do gps due to a beta or some crude software

just as an FYI, I already had Fun Contacts installed before I installed google maps or any other GPS software.... U might give this a shot and see what happens also
