Mogul application keys quit working

The application keys on my Sprint Mogul (HTC 6800) quit working today.

The only keys that work on the face/sides are the on/off button, the jog wheel and the center scroll key. The other keys/buttons (such as the mail, internet, ok, phone send, phone end, camera, etc,) do not seem to be working. The keyboard does work.

I have tried resetting the phone.

I have NOT applied the new ROM updates.

Any ideas before I take it in for service?

Some of those buttons are board based and some are on a different board. Odd to see parts of some working and not working. As long as you are certain there is no liquid damage I wouldn't see a problem with taking it in for S&R

I actually just started having the same problem the other day. The only buttons that work are the power button, the jog wheel and the d-pad/joystickpad. The phone has been babied, and has not been dropped.

I did a hard reset thinking that would fix the problem, however no luck, however, the 2 soft buttons did work though to do the hard reset.

I'm having the same problem... I have not did an update due to error problems... However I do have an infant who loves phones... I'm sure she slobbered all over it... Do you think that's the problem? If so, will sprint replace the phone for me? I've taken previous sprint phones back to them, but their excuses is always the same... The technician is out at the moment, or your phone has water damage... I think that's just a good excuse on Sprints behalf to stop people from getting new phones... I hate Sprint CSR... Well, hope someone can help us out!
