Jawbone, Verizon VX6800, and listening to MP3's
Background noise was killing my communications, so I bought the Jawbone bluetooth unit. It's fantastic, but I was baffled as to how to listen to an MP3 over the Jawbone. After sending an email to Jawbone support, asking if they support A2DP, I received this reply:
Jawbone doesn't support A2DP. However, if your phone trasmits audio through the voice channel (SCO), you should be able to establish a Bluetooth connection between the jawbone and your cell phone and play your music file. A number of searches on "SCO" and "Audio through voice channel" have yielded nothing fruitful. Can anyone decrypt this cryptic reply for me? |
Re: Jawbone, Verizon VX6800, and listening to MP3's
Well, here I am answering myself again. I found a reference to this program on another thread of similar nature. So if you looked at this and needed the same things I did, here's the program that will force your external audio through the BT headphone -- regardless of whether a2dp is supported.
Do a search for "BT Toggle Triangle Powers.zip" |

I have tried this, and the volume is so low as to make it unusable (on tcpmp anyhow).
