still can't figure how to use 6800 as wifi router for laptop
 

so i tried using the search didn't find what i was looking for..i'm trying to use my htc6800 as a wifi router for my laptop and just can't figure it out..is there a forum thread i'm missing on this? or could someone break it down for me? thank you

Does anyone have the free version of wmwifi router ? I think version .90 or .91 (the free one released just before he went commercial).

try going to share internet on ur htc6800 make sure its connected to the laptop first then push connect and you are in!!

I fought with this for some time. Turns out when I select the 10.x.x.x block of IPs I can connect every time. Ive always used the 168.xx series of private IPs so just made sense to use these but WMWR would not connect. You might try this just for kicks.

for some reason .91 doesn't work for me as WM6.1 seems to have issues with the setup.dll in the cab file. I reverted to a v.82 that was ripped from a custom ROM.
