wifi question
I finally got the wmwifirouter program working with the phone as a modem service. My question is, is there any way to reverse engineer a wireless router so that it will work as an access point for the phone? I would like to play ps3 online at a buddies house, and he doesnt have internet... and the ps3 will not work in adhoc mode...

Re: wifi question
could not find anything on this, I will elaborate on what I'm looking for. I want to be able to take my linksys WRT54G router and have it recieve the wifi signal from my phone, that way, I can hook up the linksys router to my ps3 at my buddy's house and be able to play online. The wmwifirouter app will not work with the ps3 because the ps3 does not support adhoc mode. I know you can reverse engineer the wrt54g router to be able to receive signal, just wondering if it would receive signal from an adhoc connection (mogul with wmwifirouter) Thanks in advance!

Re: wifi question
You're looking for a "wireless bridge" not a wireless router. There are a bazillion of them, you need to find one that works in ad-hoc mode.
You might be able to get buy with ICS on a laptop, sharing the wireless ad-hoc connection to a wired connection to the ps3, but that that point you might as well get your buddy some broadband ;) |
