microsoft active synch help
I just did a hard reset on my mogul, booted back up fine, now I went to connect it to active synch, the phone is saying I need to install software from the CD it came with. So I put it in and tried to install it but it's already installed so there's nothing I can do with it. I un-plugged it then plugged it back in and it's still saying the same thing.
what should I do?? |

go to the microsoft download site and download the newest version of active sync and re-install active sync. reboot your pc and soft reset your 6800 and re-connect. that should get you going...

Try going to "Settings" >> "Connections" >> "USB to PC" >> and uncheck the box for "Enable advanced network functionality". If that does not work then you will most probably have to uninstall ActiveSync on your PC and reinstall with the latest 4.5 version, available for free at the Microsoft web site.
Do not connect the Mogul to the PC, until the ActiveSync software is 1st installed on the PC. After the software is installed, connect the Mogul with the USB cable and do not try Bluetooth (if you were syncing with Bluetooth before), until successfully working with USB. The 1st connection with the USB cable should start the ActiveSync wizzard, which will take over and complete the partnership between the PC and Mogul. |
