Any AEButton experts?
I'm trying to figure out how to save my AEButton associations into an OEM I can build into a ROM... I'm pretty sure that they're not registry entries (I could be wrong. I did a reg comparison, and the differences didn't logically add up, but who says programming is logical)...
That leads me to believe my settings are saved in a DLL somewhere... Anyone know what this DLL is? Also, any suggestions as to how to integrate it into my rom? (meaning, should I try to plug it into the AEButton OEM, or should I create a seperate OEM to overwrite the DLL AEbutton installs, or should I do it as a user customization) |
Re: Any AEButton experts?
I know its stored within the folder /program files/AEBPlus because every time that I upgrade I just copy the entire folder back over over after installing the application. After that all my associations are back. Also first I run AEBPlusUnload.exe before copying the files back.
EDIT: They are stored in AEBPlus.cfg Just open that file with a text editor (frNotepad) and you will be able to see your Activation Key and all of your settings. |

you mentioned that you run AEBPlusunload... can you tell me what that does? |
Re: Any AEButton experts?
AEBPlusunload.exe stops AEButton plus from running (Instantaneously). This is only needed if you are going to copy over AEBPlus.exe which you/I wont need to do now that we know where the configuration is stored, or if you want to disable it for some reason.
