Check your VC settings and make sure that you have "status" checked.

For example, I can say "show john doe" and it will do it but if I say "what time is it?" it will not speak back. There is a little static in the headset but no voice speaking back. sometimes I get the icon which appears to be asking me to repeat.

Anyone else seeing this kind of problem?

I had checked for all those things. Once I reinstalled and made sure that VC was first my problems seem to have gone away. Having other strange problems with the phone now but VC seems to be working :)

When you say that you made sure that VC was first, do you mean you hard reset the phone, then after all the configuration to get it to stock, you installed VC first before any other apps?

Just making sure, because someone else mentioned stopping the Sprint customization after the hard reset, and put VC in at that point.

works on my plantronics 340 and jabra bt5010. installed rom all the way thru, including customizations, checked phone and data, then hard reset with sprint customizitions.

Yes, that is correct. I did it both ways actually. Once without the Sprint stuff and the last time with it. Someone told me they had seen something that indicated that the Sprint stuff needed to be installed to get the full RevA so I let it install. Have not confirmed it.

I may get to go through this all over again. Finally got the phone up and running the way I wanted and then had to go drop it in some water. It is sititng in front of a fan drying out now but I suspect I'll be doing this all again real soon :)
