Vibrate for text message not working
 

Hey guys,

I want my phone to vibrate when a text message is received but it doesn't vibrate or ring at all when I receive a message.

I changed the notifications to receive new text message to vibrate and tested it, didn't work. Tried to have it play a ringer when I received one and it didn't work either.

I'm running htc homeplugin and customizer, but not much else besides that.

Any ideas on whats up?

on the htc home profile tab, whats it set to?

I guess I'm not following you, sorry not to sound stupid but is it in programs / settings or where at?

in the home screen, you said you had htc home running. maybe your profile is set to silent.

if not where are you changing the settings from? settings, personal, sounds and notifications?

edit: yea reread that you were in the notifications settings, the only thing i can think of is your phone being on silent mode. does it ring when you receive a call?

it rings with incoming calls but now that I think of it, voicemail doesn't make a sound like it should either. so text and voicemail both don't ring the phone like they should.

I looked through the htc home customizer and didn't see any profile option in in.

no no, not on the home customizer, on the home screen under the clock and the msg buttons, you should have the tabs, one of them is the profile one where you can go from silent to on to vibrate.

I'm running the five tab version, home, contacts, weather, apps, music. nothing about profile so I'm not even sure that would be the problem.

Are you talking about the 6 tab version?
