so according to a htc tech rep...this phone will support a 16 GB card...wasnt aware they were out yet!

i heard that its capable to handle up to a 32gb.Which is in development.

I'm running a 8gb sdhc on my mogul..it shows the true value in settings..as well as with spb plus..where did you buy it from? ebay is known to sell fake cards... could be your issue..mine is a actual micro san disk class4 sdhc 8GB

dell sent it to me with something i purchased from them for free. i know its a 2 gig...ive tested it

Mogul ROMs earlier than 2.17 could not accept high capacity SD cards without a driver upgrade. I thought the original limit was 2GB, but this could still be your problem. If you are running an older ROM, try the driver in the first post in this thread:

im using 2.17...ive tried another 2 gig card and it says the same thing

Back up everything, hard reset. If it still shows less than 1GB, take the card to a Sprint store and ask if you can try it in their display model phone...if it shows 2 GB, trade your phone for that one. It is still under warranty.

Fixed!!!...it had a hidden partition in it. sandisk emailed me a copy(within 30 minutes of calling) of "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool V 2.8" and that did the trick.

Congrats, but didn't you say it showed 2 GB on your PC? How could that be, if there was indeed a hidden partition?

Could you post that format tool and the instructions to use it, in case we need it in the future?

at one point it did...im not sure what happened...i opened up disk managment and took a look at it and thats when i found the "unallocated" partition...

here is the file...

all you need to do is click on it, let it install, it will put a short cut on your desktop.

click the icon, select the drive, format type, and volume label...

click ok and you are done!

not bad for a for my first week on the boards...

i just got a sanDisk 2 G card and neither the phone or a computer will recognize it...any ideas...p.s. how do you format If you cant get a PC to recognize. It this card defective??
