Mac User needs help
Hello,
I am from Omaha, Nebraska and recently purchased the HTC Titan. I have several questions. How do I used this phone with my Macintosh Laptop, it is a G4 powerbook. I would like to access the phones GPS, Television, and backup features, but cannot get it to link with the the macintosh format. Any help is greatly appreciated |
Re: Mac User needs help
To enable GPS you will need to go to the "updates" subforum (above). You will need a PC to do the update.
You will need to buy MissingSync to allow your Mac and Mogul to connect for contact backup etc. |
Re: Mac User needs help
i have a mac as well. i try to find .cab files for everything so i can bluetooth them directly to my phone. once they are on your phone just open it up and the program will be installed.

Re: Mac User needs help
What version of OSX are you running? I've heard of some people who have flashed their phone using bootcamp, but you might want to have access to a PC just in case. Also, you might want to do some extensive how-to reading before you give it a shot. The upgrade forum has some nice tutorials.

Re: Mac User needs help
Just find any cheap Windows machine and you should be fine. If you don't have one laying around I'm sure there is one at work or a friend's house.
Also I always thought one of Apple's selling points is that Apple branded hardware allows you to boot OSX, Windows, or Linux as opposed to other vendors whom Apple won't allow to boot OSX. You could just dual boot XP and install from there. |
Re: Mac User needs help
try using missing sync. http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_windowsmobile.php
hope this works. |
Re: Mac User needs help
He has a G4, suggesting he uses bootcamp or booting into Windows does not apply.

Re: Mac User needs help
You can find old XP boxes for $100 if you look around. Nothing good for gaming but good for stuff like this. Alternately, get something more up to date to replace that old MacBook ;) You can build a great modern PC for $500-750 or buy one from Apple for $1200 and install XP as well as OSX if you prefer OSX.

Or...just look for a "copy" of XP and run it in boot camp or whatever it is called now!
And welcome to the party! |
