looking for today screen search "google"
 

Title says it all, i would like a today screen search box that i can just type in what ever hit enter, ie launches, and takes me to the google results...

i searched for it but everything kept pointing me towards windows live search...and im not a fan of that...

what about a away to edit the "live search" text on the plug in? or am i just pushin it...
im gonna browse the registry to see what i can find and will post back

Your pushing it. I believe that is part of the program. If you want something that has no text and shows a G when searching google, use GX5 Ultimate Search

GX5 is a bit too large for my liking. It stands out like a big, sore thumb on my Today screen -- not a fan.

Instead, I use SearchToday (http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc/). You can follow the directions here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/mobi...n=expand,48289) for configuring it for Google. Personally, I have it set to access Google through Skweezer -- that way, all search results get opened up in a mobile-phone optimized layout.

i really like GX5 but do admit it is a little large like the OP said. thanks for some other options
