Which phone's version did you download? Their website says Windows Mobile is coming soon, and no HTC phones are listed.

Google maps is good, But live has the speech recognition, which is great!!

Free directory assistance with speech recognition, then directions to there.

You can also verbally say 10 idenpendance ave, Washington, DC then say 10 F street, wahsington, DC without having to type anything for directions

How do you use the speech recognition with this? Do you have to use MS Voice Command?

You do not need voice command. works great,

You can press Speak and say, ex. Home Depot, Syracuse, NY, it looks it up free, address, phone, press directions to here and with your GPS running. great.

You can also say start and ending addresses with no typing. Plus you can say, like above, Home Depot, Syracuse, NY and do not have to know address. It will look up the address for you then maps it. Great l little software.

One thing I just noticed. It does not have voice turns, but it does beep for next turn ! And the directions do change with the GPS Automatically. Much better than Google for that, plus it is free compared to others!

Here is the cab, copy over to your phone then run on the phone. I just got it today from Microsoft

IMHO live search is light years ahead of GMaps. Just the turn by turn directions alone in real time got me hooked on Live search

I was looking for a free one where I can download the maps, as I do not pay for a data plan, and only use the wifi or activesync option for connecting.

I was looking at MGMaps (Mobile GMaps) (Free, Java based) but not too happy about it.

ANy suggestions for a freeware (or cheapware) that allows me to download maps?
