Text message is stuck as "unread message" in OEM SMS inbox
 

If I open the message and delete, it will go to the next message, and when I return to the inbox it will still be there as an unread message. Even if I select the message to be moved to deleted items, that still doesn't work. I also tried soft resetting a couple times, any help guys?

Just run the attached file on your phone and all the counts will be set back to 0.

Yankees368, thanks for the time, bummer, it didn't work. =/ Under "examining sms" under "inbox" it says "*** (was 0, now 1) ***." Any other help fellas?

Last time it happened for me I had to hard-reset.

Ahhhwww craaaap, I hope there's a fix for this aside from hard-resetting!

i had this problem happen to me three times... i've also had a message stuck in the outbox, and everytime i open my message application, it sent a message to the person... yeah... it sucked worse than it sounds...

the best advice i have for you is to wait it out... it will eventually go away... i figured that at the most it took almost two weeks for it to go away, but eventually it goes away... i know its not a big deal, just a lil annoying... just wait it out, and it will go away... no need to hard reset...

Wow, a message stuck in the outbox and sends every time you open up the message app., now, that must have sucked! Like you said, it's really not that big of a deal, good thing it's from my girl tellin' me some XXX stuff hahahaha! At least I'm not a player, trying to keep my game tight. I figure I'll just wait it out like you suggested, thanks lysoflow!
