Nothing happens in 'Vibration Mode'??
 

When I put my phone in vibration mode nothing happens when I get a text or a call - no notification besides the on screen pop up and the notification icon in the title bar. Any ideas on this one guys? Here are the programs I could see being the culprit:

'PPC 6800 Hacks' (from Triangle Software, IIRC)
HTC Home & Customizer
WisBar Advance 3

Any idea what could be happening? I know the vibration function itself isn't broken because whenever I soft reset it does that quick vibration, so I'm sure it still CAN vibrate, it just never does when I put it in that mode.

Dumb question, but is the notification turned on?
start -> settings -> sounds & notifications
notifications tab -> event type

I know for example that by default, the checkbox for "play sound" isn't checked for a new e-mail event ... That has bitten me a couple of times ...

this happens to my phone also. After being on for a while it will stop ringing/vibrating for notifications. I restart it, and then it works fine and then goes back to basically being in silent mode though the ringer is turned on after about 2 hours......](*,)

I'm also having this problem, I set it to vibrate on the settins > notifications I set 'new text msg' to vibrate only, I also set the phone status thingy to vibrate, it vibes for calls but when I get a text the screen turns on but it's all black, I'm not sure if the screen being black has to do with the Slide 2 unlock application or if it's something else.

I just posted a thread a few pages back (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17518) asking about basically the same problem.. I'm wondering if HTC has anything to say about it if I were to call their Tech Support. I have a feeling they'd say they have no idea because they don't support WM6. But it's really making me mad that it does this, as email and txt is my main method of communication. Thinking about returning it for a BB Pearl. I don't like having to soft-set the phone 5+ times a day to keep my notifications working.

Edit: Also should say to the threadstarter; I don't think it has anythign to do with your applications you have installed.. Completely stock my phone started doing it to me after having it for approximately a week and a half..

Happened to me too! Vibrate and the LED light are connected. If you turn off the LED light you make your phone stop vibrating.

I have a new theory on why this happens. I think it has to do with custom ringers set for messages..

I'll definitely give this a shot..... but where would I find the LED status? Are you referring to the setting in 'PPC 6800 Hacks'?

Like I said, completely stock, no third party programs, no hacks, nothing installed and it still did it to me..

Sovrce, do you have a "non-stock" mp3 ringer for message alerts? If so, is it in the \Windows directory?
