Screen Dim not functioning with 3.16
My screen has always been a little jacked up. After the initial 30 seconds or so, it would just turn off instead of dimming. After I loaded 3.16, the screen dim worked for a while. Now, my phone stays fully lit until it goes into standby. It doesn't dim at all. Is there a regedit I can do to fix this or possible something I have overlooked in the settings. I have not played with the settings at all when this started acting up, so I don't think I am responsible.
As always, thanks for the help. |
seperate but nearly equal
My phone does not want to go into standby. It will dimm fine, and then just stay there for hours.
I will put it into standby with the button, only to find that it woke up and only went back to dim not standby. hmmm. rom 3.16 pants, levi's undies, froot of the loom. ;) |
I'm having this problem as well. I'm running No2Chem's WM6.1 ROM. The additional software i've installed is listed below. The first thing that popped into my head was the fact that i'm using an older version of TCMP. Anybody heard of any problems with any of these? Trying to avoid a hard reset, but if I have to I have to.
Installed software TCPMP 0.66 (w/aac decoder) HTC Album acbToggleBT Adobe Flash Lite HTC Audio Booster HTC Audio Manager Counter Timer Google maps HTC Home 2.0 (w/Customizer) Live Search PDASudoku PocketXpdf HTC Streaming Media Total Commander |
elbimster:
Here is what I have in common with you HTC Streaming Media Live Search HTC Home 2.0 (w/Customizer) HTC Audio Manager HTC Album TCPMP 0.71 RC1 I'm sure a ton of people are also using these programs, so I doubt it'll help us, but I wanted to list them anyway. |
^^ of those, I have only HTC Album and TCPMP. I have the dimming issue as well on my DCD 2.1 ROM...

Mine works fine with DcDs wm6.1_2.2.0.

Havent noticed this issue on my device, dim works as usual.

bump? Its not really that big of a deal. I'll keep using it until an official one comes out. Just would be nice to fix it.

I have attempted to duplicate this, and installed a lot of the software identified by Elbimster, however I am unable to duplicate. I am now running on DCD6.1-2.2.0 and have a few problems of my own, but I am able to control the backlight. I'd suggest backing up data, remove programs one at a time until you regain control of the backlight, reinstall that program and confirm that it is the one causing the issue. If you get everything uninstalled and are still experiencing problems, try and reflash the same rom your using now and try the backlight then.
