So has anyone figured out why the GPS stops working? Maybe a fix?
I know some other people have had this problem. After my phone has been on for a little while, and I go to google maps and try to use GPS. It will immediately say active but then switch to looking for satellites and never find anything. And it puts my blue dot in the atlantic ocean which I think s Lat 0 Long 0. When I debug to check the GPS data, it's acting like the GPS isn't even on.
Sometimes I can fix it by going to Settings>Personal>Phone>Services tab>Location Setting and turning it off, pressing ok twice to close out the settings dialog and then repeating the process to turn it back on. Sometimes that won't work and I'll have to soft-reset and repeat the process to make GPS work. Any thoughts on this? |

"Full" is an understatement...

Yeah I've read that whole thing a couple of times and I didn't see anything that directly addresses the issue.

I use the dcd wm 6.1 rom and I get perfect flawless gps using telenav from sprint. Google is very wacky for me. I recomend telenav for anyone having problems. Its fast, low memory and has every option you could hope for.

For me thus far, GPS on 3.16 has been so fraught with problems such as hangs or crashes that I've reflashed to 2.17 which runs without problems for me. I did try some testing with Telenav, but couldn't get much success during the whopping 2-day free testing period so I can't say it even works for me at all. Telenav, therefore, doesn't seem to have ANY option I could hope for. |

I am not having any problems with GPS on the official 6.1 Kaiser release running the NexVision ROM.
In fact, it picked up 6 satellites while sitting in my bedroom in less than 30 seconds on both Google and Windows Live. This was also with the phone's radio turned off, btw. |
I tell everyone.. Use telenav. I have had zero problems with it on the latest roms. It starts up instantly. Tomtom, google both suck for some reason.
