Yes,

Go into your network connections, delete WMWIFIRouter, add new AdHoc Connection and create your own connection, and enable wep if you want.

Could someone explain that to me, maybe Barney style? Is that on the PC or the PPC?

I'm confused.

Thanks.

Just a random question while this thread is here...is there a way to completely uninstall WMWifiRouter 0.89? I've tried removing it from programs but it didn't work.

Re: WMWifiRouter Help??

Hi everyone, I'm really pulling my hair out with this one. I have a mogul (Sprint's PPC 6800) with WiFiRouter 0.89 installed on it. When I run the program and click "connect" it ends up telling me "Connected WLAN! Waiting for ICS". I am not able to find a wireless network via my PC so I do not think it's broadcasting anything. Plus the emitting image does not turn solid. Does anyone have any idea of what's going on?

I'm having the same issue. WiFi is on. Even tried bouncing WiFi a couple times per the help on the WMWiFiRouter FAQ and no luck.

Re: WMWifiRouter Help??

Since I just got a PCI WiFi card for my desktop, I started playing around with WMWiFiRouter today, and may be able to offer some suggestions.

1) Regarding the "Connected WLAN! Waiting for ICS..." message: I got this message several times while I was trying to set up v0.91 to play nice with XP with a secured connection. After having tried several different configurations, I finally found out the problem (at least in my case) - The Mogul does not support WPA encryption on an adhoc connection. WEP is the best you can do if you want security. Remember that the Mogul is looking for a 13 character passphrase if you use WEP - No more, no less. If you don't use a key of the proper length, it will display a rather useless error message.

This may also resolve some errors where XP continuously shows the "Waiting for network..." message.

2) If your PC can connect to the WMWiFiRouter network, but not browse any websites, try this: In WMWiFiRouter, go to the configuration section and put a checkmark next to "Use DHCP Allocator". In the same menu, open the "IP Block" submenu and choose the "192.168.3.x" option.

You may have to turn the Mogul off and back on after some of these changes to make it work.

Good luck!

I had this same problem, turned out the Wifi on my Mogul was broken. I had to get a warranty replacement. Wifi works great now, but now I have a different problem.

When I try to run wmwifirouter, after the initiation sequence I get "Fatal Error: ???" Anyone else see this or know the fix?

Yes, this means your trial period is over, and th serial number you are entering has been blacklisted. WMWifirouter phones home on launch, to validate a proper lisence..

I had a simmilar issue, my pocket pc was trying to connect to a different wifi network at the samt time. i removed the settings for all networks except WMwifi and it connected right away.
