Data no longer working?
 

After the WM6.1 update I noticed my data connection doesn't work. It connects perfectly fine, but I can't load any web pages or use Google Maps. It was working for about 10 seconds last night and then it stopped working. Any ideas?

By the way I can still make and receive phone calls.

im just going to reflash my ROM to something else to see if that helps.

After I flashed the new ROM, I skipped the Sprint Customizations and then could not get online. I had to unlock the extended ROM and run the file with 'IOTA' in the filename. Either that, or let the customizations run, and then it should work.

It is based on the 3.16 ROM and it has known data connection issues...mainly inconsistent connectivity.

Ultimately, that led me to reflash back to 2.17

I have not been able to get internet connectivity since Flashing a few hours ago. Phone works but no internet. I did let it customize. I have hard reset a couple of times. IOTA runs but never passes, I keep getting 1012 error. I have tried resetting my vision password a few times, no avail. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

That's odd.. I haven't seen other people complaining about it. And the ROM I flashed didn't even have customizations. I'm going to try DCD's 2.1.0 ROM.

Do a hard reset. That fixed it for me.

When I updated the ROM, I lost the MSID and such like everyone else, so I couldn't do anything. After I put the information back in, it looked like data never got previsioned. It bugged me all night. I got home and hard reset the phone. It came back up and my MSID was still correct. I tend launched IE and it provisioned and worked fine.


That's the only soultion I could think of, but it worked and saved a lot of headache.

Flashed DCD's 2.1.0 ROM and everything works beautifully. Thanks guys!

took about 4 hard resets with a few running customization to get it to work for me (stock 3.16 rom)

I installed the IOTA cab, did the reset in ##DATA# and all sorts of things... none of it worked.
I changed my Vision username, then did IOTA again, and it worked after 10 seconds.

No luck on the DATA w/ me. Alltel ROM from DCD. Hard reset, nothin. Not sure how to get to the IOTA stuff....guess I'm outta luck.
I'm only messin w/ this because the BLueTooth from the Stock ROM blows chunks. (well, that and the GPS functionality ;) )

Im having the same problem. calls and surfing the net on the phone work fine, but i cant use it as a modem when i connect it to my notebook.

Ditto.

I can access data via PIE, Google maps fine but Internet Sharing always gives me an Error Code 67 "Registration Failure. Your PCS Vision Username and/or Password may be incorrect. Please Try again." Once that happens I have to soft reset the phone to get PIE working again.

Also WMWfiRouter always says "Waiting for ICS". It never connects.
Running the dcd's ROM with radio 3.27 (actually Nexvision's rom but it's based on dcd)

I had the same exact issue and tried everything to get Internet Share to work for more than 2 packets received. My cell data plan is my only access to the internet and I eventually brought the phone back to alltel and they gave me a new one. I'm running everything stock now and the phone works properly. I miss GPS but didnt really see increased data speeds of Rev A. I am extremely curious to see where this thread goes. I can not live without the internet working properly. If anyone finds a concrete, works every time, solution for the Data side please post exactly what you had to do for it to work with a screen shot of your Packets received.
