Help the Noob!
 

Hi, I am a noob, and I need your assistance. I purchased a HTC Mogul 6800 and I LOVE IT. Meets all my criteria for being an awesome phone...except one. I came from a Treo 600 (ugh, I know) and there was one thing I specifically liked that the 6800 lacks...and that is organized text messaging. I LOVED how each conversation with an individual was like a AIM message, and I could search by peoples names through my inbox instead of through every freaking message I ever received. Since I do a LARGE deal of text messaging, this is very important. So anyone out there got a solution for a noob? It would be much appreciated...

WELCOME to the fam. Do a google search for "codyppc threaded sms" and you will find your answer. The software cant be distributed here, it was taken from a treo, and violates palm. It works PERFECTLY, i do about 3-4 thousand texts a month. When installing just make SURE YOU ERASE ALL OF THE TEXT MESSAGES IN YOUR INBOX!!

Seemed like a good tutorial till I got to step 12. I did not have the palm messaging folder...and didnt know where to go. So being the clever noob I am, instead of googling the problem...I improvised ;-) Haha, well, I xfered the sms cab file over to the program files folder, and then just ran it. It said it was installing, then needed a soft reset. I reset...and then BAM, seems like its working. Now I just have to wait for some txts to come in.....


Is there a way to change what is on the launch screen? I hate the clutter look, I dont need the windows live search, sprint software store, or owner info on the front...is there a way to remove that without theme'ing? Or must I theme....

settings/today/items. uncheck the items you don't want.
