New Mogul Yesterday, Bricked Today

So my earpiece wasn't working and they swapped it out w/o a problem. Today, I'm doing the usual on it and on Palringo IM. All of a sudden my hard buttons stop working but device was still functioning. So i decided to reboot it using QuickMenu and now its unresponsive.

Is there anything I can do before trying to get a new one (again!) from sprint (being as though I have no means of transportation right now)?

What have you tried? what ROM are you using? and have you tried to flash a different ROM?

Im using the stock ROM from sprint. I havent modified the phone at all except for the cab style registry edits and added various programs. Im not sure how to nor what flashing really is.

this crap happened to me the other day. soft resets did nothing.(sticking the stylus in the hole under the memory card slot)

i had to hard reset. Problem fixed, unfortunate, but hey it worked.

have you tried a hard reset?
If you dont know how to do this, hold down your 2 softkeys below the screen, and soft reset while the 2 softkeys are still depressed. It will ask you if you would like to restore to factory settings, slide keyboard open and press key that it tells you too on the screen. This will erase all of your data, but at least you **should** have a working mogul again. Hope this helps

I've even tried that...this thing is totally unresponsive...guess I'll be finding a way to sprint :-(

hold on i think i might have somethin! :-D

thanks for the help...i tried everything from soft reset to hard multiple times...when i tried doing a hard reset...it simply did a soft reset so all of my information is still there...phew!

do u have a memory card installed>?

im just trying to exhaust all options. If so there could be something corrupt on there, and when the phone goes to read the memory card, then it could be causing ur phone not to boot. im not sure at what stage during the boot process that the rom accesses the card slot, but again, just a possibility. And screw going to the store, id be calling them and giving the business to the first rep that answers lol. guys sorry for the duplicate posts my dumb work computer decided to send my partial response a few times
