Mogul Big Button Dialer and new Rom
 

my big button dialer has a glitch at the '1' key, i re=loaded, no go. Next I tried skinning with a known good skin....no go.
Downloaded a new copy in case mine was corrupted.....no.
Removed, now my reg dialer is replaced by a white screen, so I'm back to the glitched Big Button for now.

Wondering if anyone has the original dialer files or has them cabbed?
Or a dialer skin that works.........

Really dont want to hard reset until new Rom is released.

The 3.16 rom has added an voicemail icon to '1' key which also caused my skin to look messed up but after some perusal I found the fix. In the registry you can disable it:

goto:
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunctio n\CDMA\

set the DWORD value
"EnableVoicemailIcon" = "0"

by default it is set to 1.

This is my first post, I have gotten a lot of help from this site and I now have a chance to give back. I hope this is what you were looking to solve.

No problem...i actually discovered it myself.

HTC Dialer works without having to do registry edits but it won't allow you to use any ## programming

The big button dialer works for ##codes.

The new '1' on the new Rom dialer screen has a voicemail icon which somehow messes up the big button dialer but the fix above solves it. Thanks again Rocky

The files for the Mogul Big Button blue Dialer can be found on PDAPhoneHome along with this cool silver/black skin (which looks even better on the phone than the pic)

Hmmm... I don't have that reg key. I have four entries which represent the #1 key in it's pressed state, depressed state, landscape pressed state and landscape depressed state, but no entry for "enable voicemail" that I can edit. I looked *after* installing the big button dialer, so maybe that install changed my registry? Dunno... I deleted all four reg entries, and now I have a blank space where the button should be, but it works just fine, and I know it's the 1 button, so no big deal. I'll worry about it later when some of the more important bugs have been wrung out of this new rom.

Its not a key under \cdma, its a value IN cdma, click on the cdma folder in a reg editor and scroll down, its there

Do you know if tiermanns tdial designer works this dialer?
