May seem redundant: XV6800 memory leak
I have searched, but way too many people have covered too many different aspects to this question.
In short: Does WM6 have a memory leak itself? If so, is there any way to correct it? The only program I have in the startup is QMenu. The phone has roughly ~25-26MB free RAM at initial boot. After a few hours it goes down to under ~20. I use QMenu to hibernate, and regain to about ~22-23. As the day goes by, I can regain only to about ~20 and it seems to lose it quicker. I reboot the phone, and have ~25-26 for a while, and it does the same thing. I have Verizon btw, any suggestions or other experiences with memory problems? -Randy |
try using a task manager program and terminate the phone process after making calls. Every time you use your phone it adds another process. I have seen 3 to 5 running simultaneously.

I am... Im using QMenu and it's set to close programs when I press the X

Nope, you're not understanding me correctly. You can not see the phone "process" with qm. You need a 3rd part task manager to even see or terminate the process.

Use task manager.
I have experienced the same thing, and it helps a bit... but yea, its definetely an issue and always has been (and I suspect it always will be). After all, t his is Microsoft we're talking about. |
I would agree with previous posters. Also, if you end up installing a program like PIEPlus (or other that adds tabbed browsing), you'll also have out of memory problems for some reason.
