Fact or Fiction??
I have searched and found numerous threads on this forum and on xda about sandisk ultra II 2g and 4g microsdhc cards for the xv6800. I have also searched everywhere online and I have not found anywhere yet that indeed has these products for sale (I've only been able to find 1g cards). I've seen standard speed 2g and 4g microsdhc cards, but no ultra II's.
Can anyone answer if these cards really do exist and if so where I could find it (not ebay)? Also, how much of a performance difference (while inserted into the phone, not reading/writing to/from the PC) is there between them, and is getting Ultra II really worth it? I really don't care about read/write speeds from the PC, but I care about performance while inserted in the phone itself. Thanks a lot guys. |
Considering you can basically stream MP3's from a microsd on a basic class 4 card I really don't see the purpose in the added cost.
Might as well just get double the size standard micro sd. |
I got a pain old sandisk at radio shack (2gb, $20something)
It is crazy fast. I had no idea my old 2gb card was so slow. Don't seem to be showing the 2g online now http://www.radioshack.com/family/ind...032055.2032127 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...969&CatId=1579 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820171262 Is it as fast as the "Premier" or II line? Dunno. It's pretty much the same speed as the internal flash on my mogul, so its as fast as it needs to be. |
Thanks for all the info.
Follow up question.... Does the 8gb sandisk microsdhc card work on the xv6800? Verizon's site says it only supports 4gb. |
They just say that. They list the "supported" maximum size as whatever is basically out when they come up with the documentation. Basically you can use up to 32gb when it comes out.
