Display My Phone Number
I just got my Mogul from sprint and so far I'm very happy with it. I have what I'm sure is a noob question, but I've look everywhere and have not been able to find an answer.
When i'm in the Phone screen, if I go to the menu, and select "My phone Number" it shows [ (000)000-####] the # signs are actually 4 digits that are not part of my phone number. Can someone tell me how to get my true phone number to show? ](*,) |
Does it show if you go under Settings, to Owner Information? I can't remember if I filled that in, or if it was there.
|
Yes it show there, I was able to fill that in myself. It does not show if I go to "settings", "Phone", it gives the same odd number as before at the top of the screen.

on your dialer, type in ##768# and see what it says under "mobile number"

You have to bring up the phone app and "dial" ##768#.

Well you could try making a link to \Windows\EPST.exe ##768 if that doesnt work change the shortcut to \Windows\EPST.exe -##768 |

I go to the phone and dial those numbers and nothing happens. If I do that and then hit 'talk' it obviously doesn't work because then it tries to dial an invalid number. |

Anyway, follow the steps above regarding making the shortcut. There is actually a shortcut to EPST right after the main exe in the \Windows directory. Copy it to you storage card or something, and edit the target adding the ##768# to the end. It should look like this: \Windows\EPST.exe ##768 if that doesnt work, try \Windows\EPST.exe -##768 and if neither work, put them in double quotes (but you should have to...) |
Wrong Code
You probably only need to type in the proper code which is ##778# not ##768#
](*,) You can then select View, then click the bottom left 'View Info', switch to Nam Settings page, and your phone # should appear next to Mobile directory Number |
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is even more embarassing than the time....
oh nevermind. Yes. I messed up. I need to learn to look things up instead of doing it from memory.... Heres a list ##778# (PST) - Edit EPST ##786# (RTN) - View EPST - Shows runtime and phone info ##8626337# (VOCODER) - ??? - Settings: Home/Roam ##2539# (A-KEY) - Authentication Key ##7738# (P_REV) - Protocol Revision ##3282# (DATA) - User Name ##775# (PRL) - PRL Update ##3386# (DDTM) - DDTM - Settings: Enable/Disable ##33284# (DEBUG) - Field Trial (w/ RX Signal Data) ##3424# (DIAG) - DM Router ##38278# (FUART) - Fast UART Mode - Settings: Enable/Disable So enter ##778# on your dialpad and check what the phone number is |
OK. Works with that code ;)
|
Not trying to hiack this but I've tried these codes with my Treo 700wx and some work and some don't. The one I want to work ##778# is one that doesn't. Any ideas?

You won't able to make phone call aren't you? This happen when you update to the new radio. Did you save your MSL number? If not, you need to call your service to get your phone back working
|
Sorry I do not understand you. My phone works fine other than not being able to dial ##778# and ##775#. I can make and receive calls fine. I have my msl.
