You want your screen to automatically change when you turn it right? Mogul is not capable of that. Either you can open the keyboard or get a program that changes the screen orientation when you run it.

To expand on this, the iPhone is equipped with an accelerometer, which is a piece of hardware capable of detecting changes in motion and orientation. This hardware detects when the phone is tilted a certain amount and sends a signal to the screen to rotate. The Mogul does not have any such hardware, and is therefore incapable of providing this feature.

that would be pretty cool but no luck without the hardware..

I just put a shortcut on the htc home for screen rotation thats the closest I can think of without having to press alot of buttons. Or you could map it to one of the soft keys or other buttons on the outside of the phone.

People who long for the iPhone should really just get an ipod touch. It's wonderful as a media player, you're not screwed into using AT&T for your voice and data, and with the superwonderful WMWifiRouter, you can still use your phone for anywhere wireless data, even via the ipod touch. If you get some decent double-sided tape, you can just tape the two back to back :D

And that rotate thing - kinda a gimmick (neat gimmick, but gimmick just the same) - when you're using the sucker lying down (couch, bed, floor) it really has a hard time deciding which way to go... at those time's I'd kill for a (non-existent) manual rotate menu choice.

Sadly, I am less inclined to use my mogul as a media player now. I still do (especially if the wife has absconded the ipod touch) from time to time, but I gotta admit I am logging serious ipod time watching video podcasts while logging my time on the orbital cross trainer. Makes the time fly by ;)

I heard that Bill gates does that ^^ so no one can see his iPhone
