No news here. This fact has been known for many weeks and has been widely posted.

If you'd done a bit of searching, you'd have seen that 6 and 8GB work just fine with 2.17 ROM and work fine with older ROM's with updated SD drivers.

Who is "they"?

Must be a vz issue, as alltel phones work fine with HD cards by default i think, sprint had the issue before

Crap..ordered my 8 gig MicroSD with a usb reader for $114 from amazon...still waiting for it to show up...I actually bought the Kingston 2 gig with usb adapter for $30..the adapter is just a metal usb plug...damn that's small. But at least now I can lose all my MiniSD and PQI/Sony micro USB flash devices (ok..maybe not all of them)

The 6GB wokrs fine on my Sprint Mogul with the 2.17 ROM.
