Poll: What do you look forward to the most?

I am looking forward to all of them but have to admit GPS is the biggest thrill for me. I really, really hope we can use it with whatever software we choose.

(fill so i don't get a stupid error message)

GPS I guess. Rev. A shouldn't give me much of a boost compared to the one I just got switching over from a 1x-RTT only phone. WinMo 6.1 will be nice but I have no idea if it will even run well on the Mogul with its RAM limits. Kitchen will be nice too but I am already running pretty stable.

The thing is, GPS is something I would use on a regular basis and it would actively save me money (assuming it works with GMaps or some other mapping program). That is the one big thing so far that I could really use but am holding off on since I want to see how well the built-in will work.

Rev A over all else, I move alot of data downloads, uploads & streams, plus living in a major city it'll be widely available to me.

GPS is an added bonus I don't need but like anyway.

esqueue 01-05-2008 07:43 PM

I am looking foward to gps the most. Rev A doesn't appear to be much of an improvement. The only times that rev A will be of benefit is when I am streaming form youtube.

I could give a crap about an operating system that will run like crap and introduce a whole new world of glitches and problems in the ram starved Mogul.

TurboFool 01-05-2008 08:23 PM

I have to go with the full, official kitchen. EVDO Rev A is nice, but I don't think it's going to provide a noticeable enough increase to be that exciting. GPS will be good, but I doubt I'll use it very often. I'm not expecting to see 6.1 released for our phone, and I have no evidence that it'll be any drastic improvement, especially for WinMo Professional. That leaves the Kitchen, which will hopefully provide us an easier way to bake some modifications and common apps into a heavily tweaked version of the OS and provide us with overall better experiences.

For me, what I'm waiting for is potential hacked WinMo 7 / Android Support...
However, GPS is good too, if my service provider doesn't disable it...

monkey 01-05-2008 11:36 PM

i would have to say its between REV.A and Windows Mobile 6.1. btu are we really getting the 6.1 upgrade on the mogul? and i hope REV.A is able to keep up with Google Maps when traveling 65mph+, instead of being 2-3 seconds behind.

markppc6700 01-06-2008 12:51 AM

gps first, kitchen second

iwillfearnoevil 01-06-2008 12:57 AM

gps for sure. it'll be another awesome wow factor when showing off my phone to people who ask is that an iphone?

nuguy 01-06-2008 01:00 AM

I am most anticipating the kitchen. Why you ask? well for one we know it's capabilities, and we know it's close to really being here. RevA, well I'm on Verizon, so I don't think I get any beni's there. GPS? Yeah I'm really exited there, yet it has taken so long to get, and we don't know if it will be worth a shit or not. I have held out on the bt gps (I have a standalone nav sys so...) but who knows how it will play out.

wm6.1? minor upgrade really, and once it's out I'll be waiting on the kitchen for it again......

Deggree 01-06-2008 03:41 AM

Well to be honest I've never really been sure what a kitchen is or does. Rev A. sounds nice but to be honest I get pretty good speeds with 2 bars or more on reg. EVDO But man let me tell you I would use Nav everyday. I'm about to move back to LA and I'd love some help on those highways. Plus my friend got a new verizon phone 2day. not only is his Nav free but it's better than the one's I install in GM vehicles everyday...Seriously it's really REALLY nice.

mstevens 01-06-2008 03:01 PM

Rev A won't do me the slightest bit of good since I live and work in a 1X (well, much of the time it's 0X...) area. By the time we get Rev A, I suspect CDMA will be largely a thing of the past.

PropagandaX 01-06-2008 09:29 PM

GPS and Kitchen, dont like carrying around my bt unit, rev A is ok but I think the phone is the limiting factor not the internet speed, windows 6.1 is more bloat - hell they still cant make a button to close a program which is the ultimate gayness,

solarbarack 01-06-2008 11:10 PM

Since I can cook up my own stuff.(even though it took me like 9 hours today the old way. I can deal with that. I'd like to see GPS.

sprinttechy 01-19-2008 01:14 AM

Gps!!!!!!@#@%$

aughsum 01-19-2008 11:08 PM

GPS, which id imagine will be locked into proprietary sprint nav software.

then Kitchen

then winmo 6.1

I live in a 1x area so rev A is of no use to me.
