Alltel speed dial

I have been using my alltel ppc6800 for about two weeks now. Today Iw ent to use my speed dial and all my entries were gone. This is the second time it happened. Has this happened to anybody else? Is it fixable? Thanks

how are you setting the speed dial, have to flashed roms or anything

No rom flashing. I set it by selecting the contact and going to the menu to set speed dial and assign a number. Then I hold the appropriate number down and it tells me I have nothing preset. This is after I have been using it for days.

Is your sddaemon.ink & poutlook.ink files still in the \windows\startup folder?

Never used Alltel, but maybe its the way the speed dials are saved...

Are your contacts still there? Because I believe the speed dials are stored in the same or a similar database as the PIM.

Do you use any programs like Memaid, ClearTemp, or QuickClear? Maybe they detect your speed dials as temporary files... It would be strange if they did, however.

I hope we can figure this out - It would be very frustrating!

Worst come to worst, you could use the Treo today speed dial app... Its posted somewhere here

Good thought! Check that too!

The only programs I have added are wisbar advance, spb phonesuite and weather. Both of those file are present in the windows\startup folder. My contacts do not disappear.

I bet you it's Spb Phone Suite.

Go to Start>Settings>System>Spb Phone Suite

Go to where you can edit your photo speed dial, and set it the way you want there. I THINK it communicates directly with your internal speed dials.
