Any Jawbone users?

My friends who have the Jawbone love it so I am thinking of getting one.

I have a jawbone and a blu ant z9. The jawbone is good for short periods as it weighs on your ear after a couple of hours. The sound quality is better for listeners on jawbone, but not by much....

Been using one for about a month. Folks on the other end say it sounds good. Took me a lot of fiddling to get it to stay on my ear the right way but I think I finally have it right. I wish it was louder but I have yet to use an ear piece that was loud enough for my tastes.

Got mine last week, so far i love it... Call quality is awesome and i found a hack so i could still stream all system sounds(including music) as the Jawbone replaced my Moto H705 Stereo BT HS.

I read time and time again this is the biggest issue with Jawbone.

I have broken a couple of ear hooks and have to work at it to get it to fit just right.

Even with that issue, Its by far my favorite headset.

The noise cancellation works really well, windy environments still have a problem but i dont know many headsets which work well in wind.

Kewl little AC/USB charger.

Hi, My first post here...

I just got the Jawbone and I love it. I do have the same fit issues, but when my son said I sounded much clearer compared to my other headset (Plantronics 510) I was a believer.

otacon72 12-29-2007 04:27 PM

Yeah my job takes me outdoors often and in the wind people couldn't hear me on my Plantronics or any other BT headset for that matter. I'm off to BestBuy to burn some giftcards...lol

I hear some users buy Jarbra earbuds for a better fit/sound with the Jawbone but I can't remember which.

i heard the same thing i think on cnet they give a review and one of the users says which kind ...im going to have to dig that up

I got my Jawbone for Christmas, after eying it for about 6 mos. I pulled it out of the box, charged, paired it, and put it on one handed-just I have always done with my my old Samsung headset. Fit perfect right out of the box, very stable and sits snuggly against my cheek, just it's supposed to (I didn't even need to try the different hooks or ear pieces). Pleasantly surprised to find that it gets plenty loud for me, almost too loud at the highest setting, and much louder than the Samsung. Noise cancellation works as advertised - awesome. I was cranking some music and the person on the other end had no idea - until I turned the noise cancellation off. Pretty cool.

I have had a Jawbone for a while now and I also use the Jabra ear gels instead of the ear gels that came with the Jawbone. Can wear and have worn the Jawbone all day but I do get a minor irritation in my ear due to the seam that is on the Jabra ear gel but I just take it out for a couple minutes and insert it back in. If you decide to use the Jabra ear gels use the ones shaped like the inside of your ear lobe. I have found they are a real pain in the ass to find but you can get them on ebay and in some radio shack stores.

To stream music to a mono bt hs search for BTARouter...

Well I purchased mine at an AT&T Store and loved it!!! I had only 2 easily solved problems with it. First, the charger that came with it would automatically pop off from the rear charging slot in the headset. A quick email to the customer service team and I got a new charger cable in the mail. Second, the part where you hook the charger would also detach itself from the headset but I simply used a small ammount of gel super glue on both sides and no more detaching problems. After solving that It has been by far the greatest headset I've ever owned. Ear Hooks worked perfectly with me and I carry it all day w/o even noticing. I'm planning to get my gf one too so we can finally talk freely since her motorola headset is so bad in my opinion. Greatly recommend the jawbone because of its quality features although I can't say the same about its construction.

Just Sold Mine

I used it for two months and the fit was just too uncomfortable to deal with. The call quality on the other end was the best of any headset, but I wear mine all day and I couldn't find a way to make it comfortable.

BetaMan 12-31-2007 04:58 AM

I bought one and used it for about 2 weeks. My clients and friends complained that they heard an echo when THEY were talking. This happened on EVERY call. 2 Friends of mine purchased one as well and when I talked to them, I noticed the echo as well.

Now it sits in a drawer.

I now alternate between the Plantronics Voyager 855 (stereo!) and the Jabra JX-10 Series 2.

John Hartwick 12-31-2007 12:46 PM

Had one for about a month. Love it!!! Sound is good. Put Jabra earpiece on and it will stay on with out the ear hook. Can't go jogging with it that way, but for driving around - sitting at your desk, etc. it works great and is more comfortable.

Ok so has anyone seen the commercial on the jawbone website?....well I have my own testing of it that was just like that. I was in the bathroom shaving with clippers you know the nosey ones that barbers use.when i get a phone call and the persons like i cant hear you something is two loud in the background so i say ok can you hear me now and they say yeah perfectly clear now did you turn it off? and i said no LOL its still going.....haha so the noice canceling thing really works like the commercial in their website. the clippers where 4 inches max from the jawbone as i shaved.....now if i could find those jabra ear peice things with out having to order them.....checked radio shack checked bestbuy with no luck.
