Repost: Reg. Notify settings to get alarms until read
 

Hi guys, this was originally posted to the 6700 board but nobody is there anymore and surely the same registry settings for the 6800 probably apply to the 6700, so I am mostly re-posting a similar question here in hopes someone who has already fixed this issue can shed light on what I need to do.

The question is what exactly do I need to do in the registry to get notifications in a rational fashion. I've spent more time than

I care to admit trying to get my phone to warn me when an email has arrived UNTIL the email is read or deleted. Default options (6700, might apply here too): repeat is greyed out, so the alarmx will sound only once when an email 1st arrives. So some people suggest putting 1073741835 or 45 or 55 into the options category to allow repeat. If I use any of those, I think repeat box is no longer greyed out but if I click on it ALARMS REPEAT EVEN AFTER I'VE READ THE NEW EMAIL!!! FOR LIKE A FEW (2?) MINUTES!!!!! So then I read somewhere about
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications??AutoSnooze\ AutoSnoozeMins=0 in reminders. Adding that had no effect and was a bit of work.
How can I get unlimited alarms about new unread emails that stop the alarm exactly when I read the alarm?


Can someone who gets alerts exactly until their email is read and or deleted open regedit and paste an export of

(I just used the export feature of Resco Explorer 3x and removed the 2x replicated header.) Note that 4000001F in hex is the same as 1073741855 in Dec. Method of testing: send myself an email, delete it. Then the phone continues alerting me even afterwards. Send another email, ignore it, see how long it alerts me. Switch previously greyed out repeat option on and off in settings for sounds under new email. (I see a palm email option in the registry and don't know if it is used.) Thanks tink but fail on the 6700. If I delete an email it still makes several alarms. It eventually stops after at least a few minutes, but not when I delete the test email. Also, I had already installed this cab file, so when I installed it, it asked me to uninstall it. So you didn't write it recently. How old it is?

Ok I've confirmed I get an alarm around 5 minutes and 9-10 minutes after the email arrives even if I delete it upon arrival.

Actually there are other people besides you tinkerbell. Could somebody else who has had their phone alarms not turn off promptly ever experienced this issue?
