im using gmail POP and it keeps my messages on the server ... you have to go to the Forewarding and POP/IMAP tab in gmail settings and in the POP Download section, set ..
2. When messages are accessed with POP to "keep Gmail's copy in the inbox" .. you can still delete messages from the server using the ppc .. go through the setup for the gmail account and when you get to the screen where you set your download frequency ... click on the Advanced Settings link at the bottom and set .. When deleting messages: to "Delete them off the server" you have to use the "recent:" login command to get gmail's POP download to work correctly and it only downloads the last 30 days worth of messages ... but i cant imagine why anyone would want their entire inbox dumped on the ppc anyways ... |
I got tired of all the application problems with Gmail on my PPC, and now just connect my browser to http://mail.google.com/mail. I can read, reply, forward, or delete, just like I can from my PC. :)

Um, it's not just a google problem. My university email has the same problem as well. IMAP shows up blank. POP really isn't an option for me since the Novell server doesn't handle POP to student accounts very well. I thought it was just me with IMAP problems, though...
