XV6800 - No alternate SIP works?
 

Hi all,

I'm using a Verizon XV6800 with the DCD modified ROM posted from this group.

I've exhausted all efforts on this, but it still doesn't work. I'm trying to install an alternate keyboard (such as PCM), and that works, but no matter what alt (meaning non-built-in) SIP, it won't switch! I've tried three different SIP changers, and they all show that the alt input is selected, but when I launch an app (or even go into settings), it has reverted back to the built-in keyboard again. Selecting something like Block or Letter Rec. works fine.

Any thoughts?

This was a bug in the DCD ROMs before 1.6.7. It's fixed in the newest version.

Thanks for the tip. As it turns out, I was using DCD's ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350539 (but found the link through here). He's got a newer rev, but apparently pulled the VZW version because there were issues that he was going to fix.
